Privacy Policy
How Barrington Interiors collects, uses and protects your personal data when you contact us, join our 2027 waitlist, or use our online tools — in plain English and in line with UK data protection law. See also our Terms of Use.
Last updated: 13 June 2026. We may update this notice from time to time; the current version always lives on this page.
We never sell your data, we only email you with your consent, and you can ask us to delete your data at any time.
The short version
We collect only what we need to reply to you and, in time, to fit your bathroom: contact details when you enquire, an email address if you join our 2027 opening waitlist, and any photos you choose to upload to our 3D Concept Generator (for example a photo of your room and a design you like).
Barrington Interiors was founded in 2025 and the website is currently dormant, with full trading planned from June 2027. Until then, the personal data we handle is limited to enquiries, waitlist sign-ups and anything you choose to submit through our online tools, as described below.

We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO); our registration number will be shown here once it has been issued. For any privacy matter, please mark your message for the attention of the data controller.
The personal data we collect
We only collect the information we genuinely need to respond to you and, in time, to deliver your bathroom or interior project. We do not collect special-category data (such as health or biometric information), and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
Contact & enquiry form
When you get in touch through our website contact form, we collect your name, email address, phone number and the details of your enquiry or message.
2027 waitlist
If you ask to be notified when we launch, we collect your email address and a record of your marketing consent — including when and how you gave it.
Uploaded photos
If you use our 3D Concept Generator, you may optionally upload a photo of your room and a design you like, which we process to create a styled visual and keep with your enquiry (see How long we keep it) so we can prepare your design.
We also receive limited technical information automatically — such as your device type, browser and general approximate location derived from your IP address — that is created whenever any website is requested. Today this is used only for the strictly-necessary operation and security of the site (see Cookies), not for tracking or advertising. Please only upload photos of rooms you are entitled to share, and avoid including identifiable people or other personal information in the image where you can.
Why we use your data, and our lawful basis
Under UK GDPR we must have a valid lawful basis for every use of your personal data. Ours are:
- Answering your enquiry — to respond, quote for work and arrange visits. Basis: legitimate interests and taking steps to enter into a contract where you ask us to quote.
- Delivering your project — to plan, manage and carry out work you instruct, and keep records of it. Basis: performance of a contract.
- Waitlist & marketing — to email you about our launch when you have asked us to. Basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Concept tool — to process your uploaded room photo and produce the visual you requested. Basis: legitimate interests / consent.
- Legal & financial records — to meet our tax, accounting and other legal obligations. Basis: legal obligation and legitimate interests.
- Site security — to keep the website running safely and prevent abuse. Basis: legitimate interests.
Where we rely on consent (marketing and waitlist emails), you are free to say no and can withdraw it at any time without affecting any work we are already doing for you. Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have balanced those against your rights, and you can object at any time.
Who we share your data with — our processors
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing. We do use a small number of trusted third-party providers ("data processors") to run the website and communicate with you; they only process your data on our instructions and under contract. Some are based outside the UK, including in the United States; where data is transferred internationally it is protected by appropriate safeguards such as the UK extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and/or the ICO's International Data Transfer Agreement or Standard Contractual Clauses.
| Provider | What they do for us | Where based |
|---|---|---|
| Web3Forms | Processes submissions from our contact form and delivers them to us by email. | — |
| Resend | Sends our transactional and waitlist emails. | United States |
| Cloudflare | Hosts the website (Pages) and stores waitlist and portfolio data (Workers KV). | Global network, may process outside the UK |
| OpenAI | Powers the 3D Concept Generator and processes any room photo you upload to generate a design. | United States |
We may also share data with our accountant or professional advisers, or with the authorities, where we are required to do so by law. Each provider runs its own privacy notice describing how it handles data on its systems.
How long we keep your data
We keep personal data only for as long as we need it for the purpose we collected it, then securely delete or anonymise it:
| What we hold | How long we keep it |
|---|---|
| Enquiries that don't proceed | Up to 2 years from our last contact, in case you come back to us, then deleted. |
| Project & financial records | 6 years after the work completes, as required for tax and accounting. |
| Waitlist & marketing | Until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent, or shortly after our 2027 opening campaign concludes. |
| Uploaded photos (room & design) | Kept securely with your enquiry so we can prepare your design, for up to 2 years, then deleted — or sooner if you ask. The generated concept image is also saved so we can re-send it to you. |
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have a number of rights over your personal data. These are free to exercise, and we will respond within one month. You have the right to:
- Be informed — to know how your data is used (which is what this notice is for).
- Access — to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification — to have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected.
- Erasure — to ask us to delete your data where there is no good reason for us to keep it.
- Object & restrict — to object to, or limit, processing based on legitimate interests, and to opt out of marketing at any time.
- Withdraw consent & portability — to withdraw consent where we rely on it, and to receive certain data in a portable format.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@barringtoninteriors.co.uk or on 07927 306429. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, to protect your data.
Cookies and local storage
We aim to keep the website as light and privacy-friendly as possible. The site uses only strictly-necessary, first-party storage — small amounts of data stored in your own browser to make features work (for example, remembering your inputs in our online tools or keeping a tool running on the page). This kind of strictly-necessary storage does not require your consent under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).
We measure overall site traffic using Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first service that is cookieless: it sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, and does not track you across sites — it simply gives us anonymous, aggregate counts of page visits. Because nothing is stored on your device, no consent banner is required for it.
We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. If we ever add non-essential tracking, we will ask for your consent first through a cookie banner and update this notice to describe exactly what is set and why. You can clear or block browser storage and cookies at any time through your browser settings, though some site features may then stop working as intended.
How to complain
If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal data, please contact us first — we would always rather put things right directly. You can reach us at info@barringtoninteriors.co.uk or 07927 306429.
You also have the right to complain to the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), at any time: Information Commissioner's Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF · Helpline 0303 123 1113 · ico.org.uk.
